Description
The archive started its history in the mid-1980s. It is based on a personal collection of Aleksander Kushnir, the Editor-in-Chief of the Kontr Kult Ur'a magazine. New items are acquired at personal expense of the magazine's board members.
The archives contains more than 100 publications (over 200 items) originating from more than 50 cities and towns of the former Soviet Union, as well as a collection of rock-posters and photomaterials (1971-92), original song lyrics, clippings from official press on the Soviet musical underground.
